Global Warming-how Individuals Can Help & Earn Money Reduing Co2

By MJ Sunny

Gasoline Prices rose just over one cent overnight in February of 2008 to a national average of $2.97 per gallon, according to the Oil Price Information Service. Retail prices are responding to a slight bounce in the oil market. Crude futures have raised more than $6.00 in just a few days on concerns about supply disruptions overseas.

General Motors Corporation lost $38.7 billion dollars in 2007. This is the biggest yearly loss for a United States auto company. They are offering to buyout 74,000 workers.

There are plans over the next 4 years for Hewlett-Packard to reduce Greenhouse CO2 emmissions by 15%. They are partnering with WWF and will work on a joint effort to educate people for the best conservation practices around the globe. Together, they will both work to improve the energy efficiency of products.

The Insurance Industry is now getting serious about Global Warming - Climate Change has the potential to significantly alter and intensify destructive weather patterns in the U.S. leading to increased flooding, forest fires and storm damage. These changes could make insurance unaffordable in high-risk areas. In fact, insurance premiums in states vulnerable to hurricanes are already increasing, and in some cases, insurers are leaving these markets completely.

There is opportunity for each of us to help, too, and make good money in this grand cause. No one can debate this current challenge. With the auto industry layoffs and recession, industry leaders are really getting serious about Global Warming and reducing the Greenhouse effects. Find ways to help in this cause and feel good about the difference you can make, while making some good money at the same time!
