Snowboard Bindings For Any Budget

By C. Hintz

With so many snowboard binding choices out there it can be a little overwhelming deciding which model is best for you. Three of my favorite snowboard binding brands are Drake, Flow, and Head. The 2007 - 2008 snowboarding season looks like it is going to be the best one yet in terms of design and technology among the best snowboard manufacturers.

For 10 years Drake has been making snowboard bindings, and this is reflected in their concentration on the details. Most of the Drake bindings feature aluminum heel cups giving the rider a lightweight and responsive heel cup with added durability.

For the rider obsessed with customization Drake's snowboard bindings are ideal. The flexible toe strap can be placed on top of the foot or in front of the toe much like a toe cup.

Head, a company usually known for their great tennis equipment have in recent years become a contender for top dog in the snowboarding game. With some models having features such as 3-D molded neoprene straps, plug and play discs, adjustable toe ramps, and rich leather high back padding the Head Snowboard Bindings are sure to become a favorite brand for many!

As far as design Head snowboard bindings have a look all their own. Using eye catching design techniques such as 3-D molding, high contrast colors, and futuristic looking heel cup designs, Head snowboard bindings are sure to turn heads.

Featuring a one piece ankle and toe strap that is sure to keep your boots firmly attached to your board, Flow is my favorite of the group. From one of the lightest straps on the market to some of the most streamlined straps, there is just no competing with Flow.

Flow bindings look like something out of a science fiction movie, the bindings look more like an extension of you foot then a snowboard binding. With top notch color schemes and simple yet attractive graphics the Flow snowboard bindings keep you on your board in style!

What it usually comes down to for most riders is look and price. Every one of these brands features a variety of unique looking models that cater to any taste with feature lists that will benefit anyone, from the beginner to the seasoned rider, these bindings are great for any skill level with prices to match any budget!
